It takes me so long to connect to the Internet from my iPhone 4s. It's so slow that I'm considering taking the phone back. Has anyone else having this same issue?

You need to define "Connecting to the internet".
You could mean one of the following:
1) Connecting to WiFi.
2) Connecting to 3G.
3) Accessing a Website.
4) Using Siri.
5) Using Game Center.
....

I'm sorry. I mean connecting(apps, safari) to 3G. I called Verizon and they fixed so of my settings. Its working a little better.

they most likely just updated your PRL setting which you can do yourself if you ever notice this again.
to do a PRL update you can just dial 228* then choose option 2.
