Anyone know of any hot spot apps for a JB Iphone 4 (verizon)running iOS 6.0.1?
thanks

MyWi and PDAnet would be the outstanding apps from Cydia. On iOS 6, there's a built in hotspot, so you can use that. There might be a charge depending on your data pool

yeah verizon will allow you to hotspot for a charge and then it limited to 2 gigs per month. I like PDAnet but heard it deactivates phones running 6.0+

Oh right. Forgot we're on iOS 6. MyWi doesn't work as well. But, if you have an unlimited grandfathered data plan or an 8gb+ data pool, some reps will activate the service without a fee and use your data pool

"Latest update of tetherme solved the problem.. I am able to use the personal hotspot on jailbroken iPhone with iOS 6 now"

...saw this on another site. Anyone tried it?

TetherMe doesn't have that great a data spoofed I'm told compared to MyWi and PDAnet.

sorry, what does "data spoofed" mean?

TetherMe doesn't hide the data usage well enough from carriers. If you use it too much in a short period of time, your carrier catches it.

I have version 6 on my phone. How do I access the mobile hotspot? That way I can quit my Verizon data account.

Where us Tether Me I do not see the application in the App Store.

I thought tetherme was the one that was better hidden and mywi is the one people get caught with?

You won't find tether-me in the App Store. It's a jailbreak tweak. You have to be jailbroken to install tether-me.

I jail broke a iPhone 1 by typing in the search line Jailbreakme in the App store. That worked. But, the phone did not work correctly. Would not do anything when I pressed the power button. So I reset the phone like t was new and the phone began to work again.

So jailbreaking my iPhone 4s I will not do It because I do not want the 4s broke so it does not work. Plus if I did ave to restore the phone like it was new I would lose all on my photographs and everything else I have saved on the phone.
