Bog standard question on basic functionality

OK - does the iPhone keypad have a delete key which allows you delete letters from the front of a word (ie leftto right) as well as the back key which deletes from right to left?

No, it does not. (But it would be handy if it did)

Thanks Kevin, I figured as much but just wanted to check.

There is an undo/redo button which tends to get overlooked. To access it, press the 123 key, followed by the #+= key. It might be useful to you after a bit of experimentation.
