Best Phone Protective Case

The Survivor has a belt clip that serves as a prop, but In £0.99 land I can get a 'grab' stand in several colors :).

I want to do the griffin because it appears to be battle tested, AND it has the kickstand in the back so I can watch it like a TV.

Only problems are:
1) Does the griffin case fit the 4S (so far I saw no indication it does or does not, it just say for iPhone 4).

2) I often wear gym shorts or jogging pants, so I can't clip and have to put in my pocket, will either of these cases fit in a pocket and not fall out all the time?
-Will the iPhone 4S with the obox defender fit in it or constantly fall out?

3) Question, do you need a screen protector with the defender?

4) Last question, too bad the obox defender does not have a kick stand :(....I want to be able to prop up the iPhone and watch it hands free. Any accessories?

I'm leaning now towards the obox defender because ATT will sell me that+screen protector+car charger for 60 bucks, sounds like a good deal.

1) no idea tbh, but I think I read it does just needs minor modification.

2) depends on the size of your pockets.

2a) either case is rugged and very grippy rubber outer, I can put my survivor on the car dash it don't move.

3) remarks made the defender lifts screen protectors, I don't use screen protectors because the survivor protects the front very effectively.

4) read earlier, most general and motorist stores have the 'pipe cleaner' type adjustable holders, or you could use a generic sucker car screen mount on any smooth surface.

Deal? - since when dud a provide offer a real deal in the customers favour? generic car charger can be had for a few £'s, as can screen savers, Otterbox is approximately x2 the cost of the Griffin (Amazon).

Either case won't let you down in normal usage, some have said the rubber separates on the Otterbox cases, the Griffin rubber is not glued.

If you sweat a lot likely either case not being truly waterproof is not ideal against excessive moister, I would go for a waterproof case that has the earphone jack extended out when exercising, but why carry an expensive device when jogging? A cheap small mp3 player would be a far better option if music is needed to motivate.

I like my skull candy case alot, it has protected it alot

I got my otterbox case on newegg.com for less than half the price of what all the other carriers and stores wanted for it.

spotte this on Amazon

[h=1]Krusell SEaLABox Water Resistant Universal Mobile Phone Case[/h]
price is £27.50 a rugged case boasting water ressistance @ 1 meter for 1/2 hour spec, so might be better for exercise arm strapping - available in White, Black, Blue & Pink.

no kick stand, but less bulky than Otterbox Defender or Griffen Survivor, for yor needs might be better.

Hey throgs can I suggest the following case for you. Its called the "Yoobao 11.5mm UltraSlim Backup Battery Case for iPhone 4 FIT AT&T Version ONLY (DO NOT WORK FOR IPHONE 4S)". It's available on amazon. I'm in Europe and I got it over here on their european site and it works brill. It is also on their US site at the moment. The best thing of all about it is that It has a little fold-in stand on the back and it is also a battery pack which you can charge up separately and then use it to charge your iPhone when it's running low on juice. Great little case, not too bulky and feels nice in the hand. Great price and like you I was also looking for a case with a stand...... It seems ideal. Hope this helps.

By the way here's a few pics to give you an idea what the stand is like.

Nice looking executive style case, but I think o/p wants also to wear the case while exercising, no moisture protection so not what he really needs

Eh well he did specifically say he wanted a case with a stand in it. I do not think he is going to get a case with all the things he wants so its a matter of choosing which utilities on the case he really can't do without. You will not get an otterbox with a stand and a belt clip all in one.

The Griffin Survivor offers the best protection between the Defender and Sedio Rugged. The Survivor offers all around protection since it covers and protects everything on the iPhone such as the back camera/flash. The Sedio Rugged I would put in second in regards to protection only because it doesn't have a built in screen shield. The Defender is 3rd because it doesn't offer the all around protection that the Survivor and Rugged offer. Although the Defender covers all necessary ports there's no protection for the back camera/flash.

If the Defender had protection for the back camera/flash I would say it would be a toss up between the Survivor. Because the Defender shows off iPhone better. Has the cutout for Apple logo, is thinner than the Survivor but offers same protection. It is just a classier case than the Survivor.

Can never go wrong with the Otterbox defender series. I wear gym shorts all the time as well and bring my iPhone to the gym. Never falls out and if I really wanted a stand, use the belt clip it comes with. Can be used as a stand as well.

Glad to hear you went that route. Goodluck with your iPhone.
