Baseus PicoGo AM31 Review: The Ultra Mini Magnetic Power Bank with Kickstand
Baseus has built its reputation around sleek, minimalist accessories designed to put the user first, and the PicoGo lineup leans fully into that philosophy. These power banks are all about being card-sized, lightweight, and unobtrusive while still delivering solid performance. I’ve been using the Baseus PicoGo AM31 Ultra Mini Magnetic Power Bank with Kickstand (5000 mAh, Qi2 certified) every day for about two months now. Here’s how it holds up and why it’s one of the most compelling compact chargers for iPhone users.

Design and Portability
The AM31 is exceptionally compact. At just over half an inch thick and under 0.3 lbs, it fits into pockets or small compartments without drawing attention. The finish feels premium with a silicone surface that helps prevent scratching against your iPhone, paired with an aluminum alloy shell for added sturdiness. The pop out kickstand is more than a gimmick. I use it daily to prop my phone up for videos, or to have my iPhone go into StandBy mode. It supports both portrait and landscape orientations, which is a nice touch that many other mini banks skip.
Charging Performance
With 5000 mAh of capacity, this little unit will fully recharge my iPhone once, a solid balance between size and usefulness. Thanks to its Qi2 certification, wireless charging reaches up to 15 W, which feels noticeably faster than older 7.5 W wireless pads. The magnetic alignment is strong too, the bank stays securely attached even I slip it into my pocket. What really sets it apart is how it handles wired charging. The strong magnet holds the bank firmly against the iPhone even while plugged in. That means instead of carrying the phone, the battery pack, and a long cable separately, it all becomes one compact setup. The included short braided USB-C cable helps with that by minimizing extra slack or bulk. Since wired charging is more efficient, I often get more usable output this way. You can also charge two devices at once, one wired and one wireless, which adds flexibility for multi-device users.
Heat Management
Wireless charging does generate heat, and the AM31 is no exception. During pocketed wireless charging it can get pretty warm, though not dangerously so. Out in the open, it stays at a more tolerable temperature. Baseus includes a triple cooling system with graphene layers, smart temperature monitoring, and a heat dissipation design to help keep things in check. It’s not perfect, but it is better than many compact wireless banks I’ve tried.
Everyday Use
After two months of daily use at work, commuting, and going out, this power bank has essentially become part of my everyday carry. Its compactness means I never hesitate to grab it, yet it still delivers a meaningful top up. The strong magnet, useful kickstand, and dual charging options make it more versatile than most pocket sized power banks on the market.Price and Where to Buy
