I am so happy to see this finally come to the iPhone!

This is one of my all time fave features on any phone. Is this make anyone else happy ?

Not really, as the iPhone has to be resting on the charging pad in order to charge.

The advantage is that you can pick it up for something and put it down later to resume charging, without having to worry about that too short charging cable.

Yes you can charge normal wired as well...

The regular cable and charger is still included. The wireless charging pad is an optional accessory.
