The First Monty Python iOS Game Will be A Cow-Tossing Angry Birds-Inspired Romp

I can remember there was a lot of excitement when it was announced that Zed Games had secured the license to release Monty Python games and apps for the iOS platform. Now the first of those games is about to be released, according to Pocket Gamer. It’s called Monty Python Cow Tossing, and as you can see from the video, it’s been very much inspired by Angry Birds, with the player hurling hapless cows and other animals, including the African swallow (and maybe a dead parrot?) at what appear to be the soldiers from the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie. What sets the game aside from Rovio’s smash hit though, and what will surely delight Monty Python fans everywhere, is the way in which so many of the strange quirks from the Monty Python universe have been faithfully reproduced in the game, from the legendary theme tune, the mysterious disembodied hands, and even popular quotes from the films and shows (“your father smelt of elderberries”). It’s far from “something completely different”, but Monty Python fans will most likely love every loopy level of the 80 plus on offer.

No word yet on release date or pricing, but the game should be out within the next couple of weeks.
