some advice needed!

so i have an already jailbreaked iphone 3gs with iOS 4.1....i want to update it to iOS 5.1.1...so how should i jailbreak it after ive upgraded? shud i use absinthe or in some other way? and will there be any problem if an already jailbreaked iphone is updateed using itunes? can anyone give me some helpful links on this? thanx in advance!

yes ofcourse...thats the main reason why i jailbreaked it in the first place...

You should use Redsn0w because you are also going to need to install the iPad baseband if you want to unlock. First go to settings>general>about>serial to make sure your device is compatible with the iPad baseband. The 3rd digit of the serial is the last digit of the year and the 4th and 5th digits of the serial are the week it was manufactured. If your device was manufactured on or after the 35th week of 2011 you cannot unlock it. Anything earlier you can install the iPad baseband which is compatible with Ultrasn0w.
