Hi
Read and followed all advice on net re jailbreaking 4.3.3 iphone 4.

Attempted this and all seemed good, however, initially I was prompted saying entered recovery not DFU mode.....

Tried oncemore ................. now my phone is dead and I cannot get it to turn on....

Am I doomed?
Thanks

Me again, replying to myself!!

I have power back to phone, by pressing and holding power and home buttons at the same time for 10 seconds....

I cannot see any issues with phone, is there anything I should be checking?
Is it safe to reattempt jailbreak?

Thanks

Are you sure you understand what DFU mode is? It looks like the phone is frozen. There should be a blank screen which doesn't respond to anything. This is normal. That is the mode you need to be in. Try again. There is nothing you can do to brick it....

What software are u using to jailbreak? If you are using redsnow, follow the redsnow onscreen instructions to enter dfu mode and to jailbreak the iOS.

Thanks for posts.

I was using redsnow, however, 1/2way through 'it' downloading the jailbreak data Windows came up with an error and closed the program. Was this perhaps because I wasn't properly in the dfu mode?

I've followed many instruction vids on utube, still looking to re-download redsnow and the restore software to attempt again .....

You need to set compatibility mode for the redsn0w program to Windows XP Service Pack 2 and run it as Administrator... Right click the exe file and set the options from the appropriate menu.

Yes do like what @f4780y said. And what about the version of redsnow you are using to jailbreak 4.3.3 make sure it's the latest one.
