Facebook installed but not appearing on home screen

Ive got the above problem on my iPhone 4,can any body help please?

First slide to the left of the home screen and do a search for facebook, if you see they app in the list is definitely install. If so, my suggestion is connect the iPhone to iTunes and remove the app thru the apps screen and reload the it to see if that will help you.

Cheers,I've done that but it doesn't appear to be installed,when I go to the apps again to install it,it shows up as installed....bizarre!
