There isn't going to be a JailBreak for the iPhone 5??

Like there's been for every IOS version... Yes. Be patient.

Not entirely true. Yes there is a jailbreak every iOS as far as we can remember, but it's not applicable to all devices, like iOS 5.1 for example, it's only applicable as a tethered jailbreak for pre-A5 devices. So yes, there will be a jailbreak for an iOS, but for which device, we can't say all necessarily.

But do check up on the sticky below for updates on iOS 6 jailbreak news and such. I'll update it as soon as I heard word and confirmation of certain news and updates. But the iOS 6.0.1 for all devices in the form of an untethered jailbreak is said to be coming very soon by Planetbeing, Pod2G and MuscleNerd.

Pod already announced he found an exploit, but is waiting for 6.1 to drop to release it so it isnt closed once 6.1 is released.

The iPhone 5 has been jailbroken untethered and there are even pictures/screenshots of it, but there will be no release until iOS 6.1 is released because if they do release it, the next day Apple will release the stable version of 6.1 so no one can update to it and get the jailbreak and like Schollian said, keeping the exploit is better than having Apple patch it, but this is taking the longest out of all iOS jailbreaks in the past because Apple have recruited a new iOS Security manager, who is smart and could patch exploits up instantly. If you would like to have a untethered or tethered jailbreak or even a semi-tethered just get your old iPhone 3GS old bootrom or new bootrom and test things out on there or the iPhone 4 or just your iPod Touch 4G as a jailbreak is ready for them and then wait for the iPhone 5 jailbreak to come out.

Many Thanks,
Software
