Bring current phone Thursday?

If I'm upgrading do I need my current phone with me Thursday? I am selling my current one so not sure if I need to wait or not.

i dont think you do, unless you want apple to transfer your contacts..etc but maybe take it just incase

I dont think I need it either but it dawned on me that it was never really specified anywhere. I will call Apple today and see what they say.

Ok I just talked to my local Apple store in Michigan and he verified you do NOT need your current phone with you (After I verified AGAIN that they still had my reservation. Yes Im paranoid).

And for users like myself who are selling their current iphone first just remove the SIM from the phone and it basically deactivates it. Then when you get the new one it will be activated on the spot as it has its own SIM and is actually a different size than the 3GS/3G sim.

Hopefully this helps someone else.

yeah i thought so, i think people should only really take it if they need help transferring files and contacts and so on to their new phone,
