[FONT=&quot]John Paczkowski of AllThingsD reports today that Apple is planning to break from its recent tradition of making major product announcements in San Francisco, often at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, by launching the next iPhone at its Cupertino Campus. The reason for the change of venue? Well it’s simply because another big event, Oracle OpenWorld 2011, is being held in San Francisco between October 2 and 6. Meanwhile, speaking of the next iPhone launch, MacRumors reports that Apple is said to have told employees that they will not be able to have any leave in the second week of October, and in particular, from October 9 to 12, and then from October 14 to 15. As MacRumors notes, the October 9 to 12 period could well be for the launch of iOS 5, with Twitter also having a major event in London on October 10, which will focus largely on iOS 5 Twitter integration. That would leave Friday, October 15 as being possibly the date that the next iPhone will be released, which ties in with many other rumours circulating at the moment. MacRumors also reports that UK Apple stores have been told that staff cannot have leave in the first two weeks of October, which would indicate that the next iPhone will be released in certain other countries around the world simultaneously with the US release.
