Updating my 3gs, getting error code 21?

My phone is stuck with a itunes and usb plug in pic on phone.


Itunes say can't complete update error code 21.

I have an old 3gs (couple years old)
Was 4.3.5 bb 5.16.2
Jailbroken
Went to update using itunes. Have newest version of Itunes. updated today.

I went to apple help to fix to no avail. Appearrs to be related to security software, but I shut everything off and still not working.

Could someone please assist?

Forgot to add I downloaded 5.0.1 update via this website but don't know how to use that either.

That happened to me too. Turned out my Internet was too slow and apple wouldn't let me do it. I had to go down to Starbucks and use their wifi and it worked like a charm. Does it start to update for a minute and then fail? If so, then that's what happened to me.

I am at home using internet connection. No WIFI.

So this is where I am at. Downloaded the 5.0 Restore file via this website. Changed the file to ipsw. Did the shift restore. Found location. went through restore procedure.

Now I am getting an 3194 error code. I haven't researched this one yet but getting frustrated.

Any help would be appreciated.
