Touch screen

Is it me or is the touchscreen on the new iphone really crap?
I find myself banging my finger on the screen where it won't respond

No problems here with a 5s. Is it everywhere, or only in certain apps? You may have a defective phone.

The only time I have a problem is when I'm texting & I want to use emojis. I have to click 2 times on the world key before it'll go to emojis & when I click on it to go back to the normal keyboard it does the same thing. Other than that I have no problems.

It's mainly when I'm on music and trying to search for a letter along the side

I believe most of the users are complaining on their touchscreens.

It is not a major issue. Best option is tale your ph to an apple store and let th advise of ot is an issue
