Touch Screen Not Responding

Hi there Can any one help me.
Suddenly my touch screen is not responding I do get a ring when some one calls me but cant respond
as touch screen is un responsive I cant even shut d nphone

Have you tried restarting the phone? Press and hold both the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears, then release both buttons and wait for the phone to restart.
