Sending links through text

Today I was trying to forward a link from YouTube to my brother through text and it wouldnt let me do it. The options that it did give me were that I could tweet it or email it. I ended up just copying the link and then sent it that way but I was figuring that there has to be an easier way than this. Does anyone know of a better way of sending links?

I wish there were a message the link. It is annoying having to copy paste to do it. Apple is still somewhat stuck on emailing stuff.

Your kidding me I thought that there was something I was missing. That is weird that Apple doesn't have a feature to text links, hopefully in the future we can see this.
