Anyone familiar with Securranty ? i saw link on this site. sounds like great coverage... here what they offer.

2 year price $99.00
mechanical/electrical failure yes
accident damage/handling ADH yes
loss and theft LT yes

# of claims 3 a year

anyone here familiar with this company? sounds better than what others were mentioned ??

The only difference is the number of claims. Apple gives you two, but how many times does a person shatter or lose a phone in 2 years? I prefer apple because it seems like less hassle. I can call and set up easy repair. Their shipping is always 2-days Max. But the new plan requires that you buy within 30-days. If you know you'll miss the mark, you'll have to go with something else.
 
yes but the iphone insurance doesn't include coverage for loss or theft.
 
I would AVOID it. I can only share my brief, miserable experience. I signed up; card charged immediately. Logged on a month later, they show no record of me. I filed a BBB complaint, and wah-lah, Securrant found my purchase. Then Securrant states "customer failed to follow registration directions." UM, okay, but charge me $160 no problem? I called customer service. who returned my call later at 5:30 AM- that's 5:30 in the morning! NICE! Then, they say they will offer me $50 dining certificate and 2 movie tickets for the trouble. I say, great, let's give it a whirl. Then, when I call to get process started, they state they had refunded my money and I could start the process over. And that offer? Vanished I guess. Based on these experiences, I would AVOID, avoid, avoid. Stick with a company that is local and can provide real customer service.
