ok i just got done jailbreaking an iphone 3g ; so now i am ready to step up to an iphone 4 . Can i use redsnow to do this and is the procedure the same as the iphone 3g ??

It's different.

Depending on how you do it.

Redsn0w can DFU jailbreak and backup/restore jailbreak the iPhone 4.

The iPhone 4 *must* be on 5.1.1.

You should restore the phone "not from a backup" setup as new...then jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.14b2.

The backup/restore method is just a click of a button...and us done in less then a minute.

I'm a little confused, here. You asked this question, it was answered - then you asked again.

To remove Cydia you have to restore it again.

ok i am having a problem with getting any apps from Cydia ( CANNOT LOCATE PACKAGE ) everytime . Should i remove Cydia then re apply Cydia ? A lil help please .

sorry for the delay but all is well now. Itunes finally allowed me to restore my iphone and then I used the backup/restore method on redsnow and now my iphone is jailbroken with No ERRORS ! Happy again and thank you !!
