not receiving messages on roaming

I am using esim in my iphone 11 pro in my country (home). I went on tour to another country (countryA) and used their sim as a s2nd sim in the same iphone which was set as Primary sim. Now I am in countryA and using their line perfectly, however, can't receive important text messages from my home line.
I approached many technician who could not help. Any help from this forum

You can turn off roaming data in settings which would prevent the iPhone from receiving messages while roaming.
