Looking for app that will allow me to control my iphone from my desktop. I would like to be able to send text messages, etc from my computer instead of using my iphone. I don't want to jailbreak my phone. Does anyone know of app like this?

Sorry, but there is nothing that can do this with a stock iPhone. Only jail broken ones can be set up to do this.

I am not sure what you mean controlling your iPhone when you all you say is that you want to send text messages using your pc. I can answer the second part and it depends on your contract provider (as I am unable to find similar 3rd party app). I am in the UK, with O2. I have Ipad mini 32GB wifi only. O2 launched an app called TuGo. Using this app on my iPad (wifi only) I can make phone calls, and send text messages. They will come out of my contract on the iPhone. Of course I need to have wifi to be able to use it like that. good at airport, café, hotel, libraries, etc.

Many cellular companies offer their own text service online. Verizon does...it's called Vtext. It's not an app, it's just their texting service. Of course, that's just the texting part of your query...can't help you with controling your phone from PC. I know you can do the opposite with apps like Log Me In.

Controlling an iOS device usually includes having to USB tunnel to your device, which is not made available for stock devices/iOS. As stated already by Marilyn, jailbreaking is the only way to have full control of your iPhone via desktop.
