Lock Screen Pin Code Question

First off, moderators, I am posting this in two sections (here and jailbreak) because I would like to not jailbreak if I don't have to, but if it's the only way I will lol

Is there any way to bypass slide to unlock if you use the pin code security? Doing both makes the slide to unlock completely redundant to me...
