So I had the tethered jailbreak for 4.3.5/4.3.4, and now when I've tried to restore it in order to get iOS 5, I keep getting a load of errors. At this point, no numbers are being given anymore. I tried editing the host file to redirect to gs.apple.com or something and alt-restoring to the 4.3.5 IPSW file, but that's giving me a (1) error (which I found no info on). I put the host file back to normal and tried again, still nothing. On Mac Lion, by the way. Any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated.

did you delete the gs.apple.com from your host file?
