just got a new iphone 4s (switched from an android device) and i like it a lot. one thing i do notice is the charging cable is a little hard to take out of the device. my ipod had the buttons on the side you push in to release it, but the iphone feels like i have to jimmy it out a little. like i pull gently then one side comes out, then the other. Is there a trick to removing it?

some cables like he video to Tv ones have little buttons you need to press in, but the stock USB charger cable tends to be tight for a while, then gets more free.

The stock 30-pin connector cable that comes with any idevice that's newer than the 1st and some 2nd generation iPods does not have the 2 push buttons on the side of the connector to release. Personally, I liked that design much better but then again, without the 2 little release buttons, the size of the connector is halved.

The original with the release looks like this

True for the stock supplied lead, i have the AV lead and a generic lead, also a cigar socket lead that have these buttons. They are more secure but do cause issues with some cases. But then if i trip over the lead it fires the device across the room - yin and yan effect i suppose :).
