IO 7.0.3 question

My phone is saying there is an update to IO 7.0.3. Right now I have 6.1.3 do I have to update 7.0 first?

No ios7.03 is current version so if you update that is the version that will be installed.

You're not required to update to iOS 7.0.3 if you wish to stay at 6.1.3. However, it's my understanding that the Apple notification that you have an update, will remain. I don't think you can delete that.

Going from iOS 5 or 6 to iOS 7 is best done through a backup and a full restore via iTunes to a fresh copy of iOS.
