I need a solution please

greetings,

i have an old Iphone, the first one and i have the Iphone 4 also, but i'm using the old one for music to the car, so it is as an ipod.
anyways it was working fine with me till i decided (i dont know why?) to upgrade the version. i did it from itunes , but when we finish from the upgrade my phone is blank and it can do nothing than asking me only for emergency calls , also to plug it to itunes.
when i plug it to itunes it is giving me the following message
"The SIM card inserted in this phone does not appear to be supported"

please if anyone knows something on this let me know. i just need it to work to listen again to my music.

Sounds like it was unlocked and when you restored it you've lost the unlock. You will need an official sim to be able to activate the phone again to be able to use it. You may be able to hacktivate the phone by using a specific jailbreak tool. It all depends which phone it is and the firmware your on...
