Since jailbreaking my 4S I've noticed that the "hostapd" process (used for personal hotspot) seems to be stuck in a continuous error cycle.
The System Log shows the following cycle every few seconds:
com.apple.wifi.hostapd: started
hostapd: hostapd_init failed
hostapd: Could not open configuration file '(null)' for reading.
hostapd: pselect timed out (no more requests); leaving
It repeats this cycle every 5 seconds. The hostapd process is always at the top of the process list. The only time that the error cycle does not occur is when PDAnet is running.
My main concern is that the error cycle is eating battery. Has anyone else experienced this? Any known solutions? Thanks.
