Ok, working on an iPhone 5c for my cousin. He said before he gave it to me that the battery went dead and would not take a charge. So, i have another iphone that i put his battery in, charged it up, and moved it back into his phone. It still is not responding. Ive tried hooking to itunes. Nothing. Tried holding home and power button. Nothing. Changed out the charging port. Nothing. Im guessing it has to be hardware related. Does not seem to have any water damage. What else can i try?

If the battery charges and works when connected to another iPhone, the charging circuitry on the iPhone has probably failed. This is located on the motherboard and could require a motherboard replacement. If you know of an independant repair shop that can run a diagnostic on your iPhone you may want to have it done. This would tell you exactly what the problem is and whether or not it would be economical to repair.
