Hi guys. I'm not much experienced in apple products, and would need your help with my iPhone. The only thing that I've jailbroken is my iPad 1, to latest 4.3.1, tethered. Sucks! Wanted untethered.. So in order for me to not screw up, I need your advice.

I have iPhone 4, 4.0.2, 01.59.00

I need carrier unlock, it's a must have, otherwise I can't use it.


Please tell me which is the latest untethered jailbreak I could do on it, and the latest tethered jailbreak? Plz give links.

The biggest thing I'm afraid of is upgrading it to something and then being unable to unlock it, so I must proceed cautiously. Hence my n00be post seeking n00be help, I'm too afraid to screw it up.

well the latest untethered jailbreak is 4.2.1 but since you dont have any shsh blobs saved for that firmware you cant upgrade to it.. and atm there is no jailbreak for 4.3.1 .. you have to wait or just upgrade then wait.. either way you cant jailbreak it. no tethered either, the tethered is for 4.3 not 4.3.1 afaik.. unless sn0wbreeze works for 4.3.1 ?

Well I've done tethered jb for iPad on 4.3.1..

How to unlock it??
