Factory unlocked iphone 4

I am trying to jailbreak my factory unlocked iphone 4 using the correct ios version of redsnow. I have gone through this 3-4x and when it reboots there is no cydia app so Im assuming the jailbreak failed. Im a newbie to jailbreaking so anyone willing to help would be appreciated!

You need to tell us the exact iOS of your i4.
If it is above 5.0.1 there will be no tethered jailbreak available at the moment. iOS up to 5.0.1 is jailbreak friendly.

Incorrect! The iPhone 4 has a bootrom exploit that will ALWAYS allow for a Tethered JB. It's the Untethered JB that isn't possible above 5.0.1.
