BTW I am using Windows...

Thanks in advance

Okay, nothing personal, but please - a little more info?

As in, what are you trying to do on what type of iPhone running what kind of software with what baseband and what software is on your Windows computer?

I'm sure that, given the above, someone will be along to assist.

Thanks.

Marilyn

OK Sorry about that...

Phone = Verizon 4S

Computer = Windows

I was trying Cinject0.4.3 and that was the problem earlier with Cinject.....NOW it will not hardly start...I type in the adminstrator window cinject_0.4.3 and now it states "Is not recognized as a internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

SOOOOO I decide to do the absinthe iOS 5.0/3.0.1 untethered A5 jailbreak and everything starts fine there also and BAM it says that absinthe.exe has stopped working box...inside the box it says a problem caused the program to stop working correctly....

Now I thought maybe my puter was jacked up..So i tried BOTH on my daughters BRAND NEW computer and same for both...

I have been working at the for 8 hours now and am about to lose all faith...

Sorry you are having problems. I jail broke my 4 S two days ago. I followed this tutorial http://www.iphoneforums.net/forum/h...-jailbreak-iphone4s-5-0-5-0-1-absinthe-31990/

I followed it exactly including the factory reset (see box 14).

I'n not an expert but I would try downloading fresh copy of the absebthe zip file and start again. I use Mac's so my extract process will be different but the copy, reset, run of absenthe, cydia, and restore should be the same.

As i mentioned in box 14 start to finish took me about 20 minutes. The actual jail brake took 5 or less.

Let us know how things go.

Mike

Thanks VERY much for your input AND TIME....

I finally did a factory reset on phone (Basically NEW)....and Waaa Laaa it took less than 10 minutes!!

Now I get to spend ALL NIGHT PLAYING!!!

Thank god for Iphones!!!! LOL

Glad you were successful! Now the fun really begins. I've spent hours reading and playing. My wife looks at me like I have three heads and asks "what is so interesting or fun about that phone" She had the same reaction when I rooted and added roms and themes to my Android.

Oh yea, welcome to the dark side -- enjoy!!!!!!!!!
