what is the difference between Unlocking and Jailbreaking an Iphone?

Jailbreak let's you customise your iPhone and install none approved app.

also hackers have made it so yo have to jailbreak in order to get the unlock application.. but with the baseband you have to rely on what version you have and if your able to unlock it and use tools that preserve baseband so you can unlock

you jailbreak then download an app called ultrasn0w.. then that does the rest
