Wifi on iphone 4

Hi dose leaving your wifi switch on when not using it on an iphone 4 drain the battery or is not worth bothering about ? many thanks

I have mine on all the time when at home. Actually I just leave it on all the time regardless. My understanding is it uses less power communicating with a router then it would over 3G.

It's not worth bothering. If your wifi is constantly searching for a wifi to connect to you should disable it - this will run the battery quicker.

The long and short of it is if there is no wifi and the switch is on... It will drain battery "searching". But if it's connected to the wifi... It will use less battery than compared to 3G......
