Okay, so I decided to Jailbreak my moms iPhone 4 using Jailbreakme.com using Jailbreakme 3.0

I remember putting it there to Jailbreak and then come back finding out I need to factory restore the device. What happened?

You leave the phone and went away while it was jailbreaking, I think that's what happened.
