Jailbreak Iphone 4 with baseband 4.10.01 to tether 3g on laptop

I have an iPhone 4 with 4.3 and 4.10.01 baseband and I was wondering if it was possible to use jailbreakme.com to jailbreak it and use cydia to tether so i can get 3g on my laptop. I know that i cant unlock my iphone with 4.10.01 unless i get a gevey sim but do i need to unlock it to be able to jailbreak? Or can i just use jailbreakme and be able to tether? I'm using At&t if that helps

What firmware are you running? 4.3 isn't enough info

Also the baseband makes no difference for jailbreak only, unless you need to unlock
