Were did my music go?

Hey everybody, I'm new to the iPhone and iTunes so I'm confused. I downloaded a few songs off iTunes with my phone last night and now after syncing with iTunes today the songs are now gone off my phone. Is it broke or did i do something wrong? Help!

Ok I figured it out, I think. When I synced it iTunes must have deleted the songs from the phone, I put them back on today using iTunes. I love my phone but so far I hate iTunes, it's very confusing to use and it doesn't seem to have improved since the last time I used it almost 6 years ago. Come on apple, awesome phone, stupid music software!
