A little blue visible at the moment, forecast to get wetter throughout the night and tomorrow. We’re in between “disturbances” right now; the “x” marked area is cause for concern. It doesn’t have an official designation, but it has a good chance of organizing and causing problems. A local weatherman calls it a “zombie” disturbance.

There is a tropical storm and a hurricane in the bigger picture, but their forecast paths are away from the islands.

It didn’t get wet (in Hilo) yesterday after all, and the summer sky made a dramatic exit.

The previously mentioned “Zombie Storm” is keeping everyone on their toes!

It’s wet outside. “Zombie” disturbance is now tropical storm “Nolo.” It is expected to reach hurricane strength and beyond as it passes south of the Big Island Saturday morning.
