Weather Elements Worked, now doesnt Work?

Open the Weather Elements app up and reset the GPS coordinates and save it. Once you have the lockscreen working again use iFile and go to var/stash/Themes/Weather Elements.theme and click the blue arrow next to db.html then under "Access Permission" change everything to "Read,Execute" only. That should prevent the db.html from being modified.

So problem is that, unless i restore and reJB weather elements won't work again. So I can't even get in to edit this. So I officially give up! I will find another LS and maybe the will up to a new version of weather elements

So the weather code is using GPS correct? To tell your location I'm guessing because I am using GPS weather Lockscreens and Springboard. So I decided to update the iOS to 5.1.1 and behold my weather doesn't work. If it is using GPS weather and the "MyLocation App" is not updated yet try this method.

1) Open Cydia. add "http://apt.mmus.us" to cydia (without the quotes)
By touching - Manage/Sources/Edit/Add
2) download and install "GPS for Web Server PLUS" from that repo.
3) reboot
4) open safari. go to weather.yahoo.com and when safari asks you if you want to allow location services, say, "yes"
5) in safari address bar, type http://127.0.0.1/index.html and allow anything it asks. A screen will pop up with your latitude and longitude. REFRESH THE PAGE by hitting the circle thingie in the address bar next to the web address.
6) select your favorite GPS mod in winter board and Respring.


If you follow these directions EXACTLY, I assure you that it WILL work. Thanks to rasputin007 for a work around the weather.

I followed your instructions but on step 5 when I entered "http://127.0.0.1/index.html" into Safari I get "Safari could not open the page because it could not connect to the server."

*EDIT* Rebooted again and it worked this time, thanks!

I'm bout to try this, so will I need to mess with the mobile safari app that downloads with weather elements like where I select which scenery I want and stuff?
