vibrate settings

I was able to set my Blackberry for one vibrate for a new email, vibrate until pick up for incoming calls, and two vibrates for a new text message. It appears that the iphone simply vibrates one time for anything. Does anyone know of a way to set up the vibrate settings so that you can distinguish between calls, text mess, or email?

Only options are under settings. No special options like what your talking about....

Apple is really picky about stuff that could cause "user confusion" so besides editing the text and ring tones... You are not able to change them. Same as keyboard clicks,lock sound,mail tone..ect

It would be nice if someone wrote a JB Ap that could do that.

"Extra long vibration with SMS" was available via Cydia. It obviously only separates SMS from all other vibrate alerts and dont know about compatibility with iOS 4.x but it shows that something along these lines is possible.
