My iPhone is currently on version 4.3.2 and it has been jailbroken using redsnow.

Im thinking of upgrading my IOS to the latest version 5 and then jailbreaking again. What is the best way to go about this?

Do i just do a hard reset thing or what?

Hypothetically speaking, will any apps downloaded through Cydia be removed?

Thanks for the help.

Don't do that... why will you want to do so?

If you update to the latest version you can't do untethered jailbreak anymore.

Was just assuming version 5 was better???? lol

Also, my itunes wont sync and i have tried everything

yes, do your self a favor by doing that before you try anything.

iOS5 is still in beta, each month the current beta expires and renders your phone useless until you update to the new beta and as iFrog said it only has a tethered jailbreak. Also mobilesubstrate has not been updated to support iOS5 yet so most Cydia packages are not even compatible with iOS5

Besides that you need to have a developer UDID in order to install the beta
