I am having some issues after jailbreaking using redsn0w_win_0.9.10b1. So I would like to re-jailbreak using the b3 version. Do I just need to follow the steps just like I did it originally? I followed the guide from iClarified (http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=18932). Is there any steps I need to skip or add the second time around?

The process will be the same. Of course you'll need to have redsn0w 0.9.10b3 downloaded, be sure you perform a backup of your device via iTunes, as well as keeping track of your Cydia packages, themes and tweaks. :-)

How can I backup my Cydia files and tweaks?

While you don't have to do a backup of your Cydia stuff (it's like the App Store, in that once you've bought it, it's yours), you can do a backup by purchasing a backup tweak like PKGBackup ($7.99, USD). I swear by it, and it works great to help you restore your phone to exactly the state it was in before you restore/re-jailbroke the phone. See this new How-To by f4780y for a great read on what you can do with PKGBackup: http://www.iphoneforums.net/forum/h...safeguard-your-jailbreak-apps-settings-30889/

Of course, as I said, you don't have to use it to put your phone back to rights. You can always just manually re-install all your Cydia tweaks and themes. PKGBackup merely makes it a quicker process to get back to "normal."

There are other Cydia backup tweaks out there. I just like PKGBackup, though YMMV.
