unable to jailbreak iphone 3G 4.2.1

I need help jailbreaking my iphone 3G. I try using redsn0w, it get stuck in "waiting to reboot" then I tried greenpois0n. it keep on saying to try again.

How do you still restore within redsnow and greenpoison? I have no problem jailbreaking the Iphone 4 or the 3GS. Just this 3G giving me problems. thanks

Restore in iTunes then jailbreak with greenpoision...

I just did the complete restore with itunes with 4.2.1. then I went through the process in greenpoison, it kept on saying " Try Again"

You must not be getting into DFU mode correctly. Keep trying you'll get the hang of it soon enough...

I used greenpoision and it took me about 5 try's before I got it right on the sequence pushing the correct buttons at the right time I think with the 4.2.1 software you should be able to go to jailbreakme.com right from safari and it will do it all for you.

Jailbreakme only works with 4.0 and 4.0.1...
