A couple hours ago my screen suddenly turned red. It’s not pure red, otherwise I would not be able to make this post. It’s like a red filter, but having checked all accessibility options relating to colors and filters none are turned on. My phone works fine otherwise, everything is displayed properly aside from color, and my screen is not damaged as far as I can tell from visual inspection. It was in my hands when the screen turned red and has not been dropped or mishandled any time recently.

I have gone online and tried many solutions, hard restarting my phone, changing settings as previously mentioned, none have worked. The only other solutions I can think of would require taking it in to be serviced, which would be expensive.

If anyone knows what the cause of this might be and how to resolve it myself any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds as if Colour Filters had been used in Accessibility (although I am not sure how this could have been turned on accidentally). You could try going to Accessibility and making sure this option is turned off.

It isn’t on, I’ve checked and double checked already, it is off and has been off since this happened. To my knowledge I have never touched it or turned it on in the past before this started.
