stream using wi fi

hello can any one help i have a mate who was using my home wifi to play music on his galaxy s2 through a wifi dongle on the back of my tv! the t has a surround sound linked to it and it sounded great! is there an app to do this he used one called allshare but i cant find it in the app store! ive tried a couple but no joy any help wud be great thanx
