5.0.1 has stopped being signed off by apple meaning in my understanding even saving your blobs will not work.

Your stuck on 5.1.

Their is currently a tethered jb available or wait for the un tethered version.

Personally i prefer to use redsn0w to jailbreak my iPhone 4.

Would be the same case for ipod touch 4th grn. I have error 3194 with ios 5.1
