Restore pics from ipod to iphone4??

I had an iPod touch (1st generation) and unfortunately it was stolen from me about a year ago. I had all my children's pictures stored on it along with my desktop computer which crashed shortly after. I have a backup of the ipod stored on my laptop and I recently got an iphone4 and i am hoping there is a way i can get these pictures back as they are very important to me. Does anyone know is it possible to restore these pictures from the iPod touch backup and put it on my iPhone4? Please help!! Any advise would be so much appreciated. Thank you and god bless.

Get backup extractor from Internet to open that backup and manually extract whatever information u need from it. Save the information on your desktop and after upload them to your iTunes, connect your iPhone to your iTunes and sync it.

You could always try restoring from a backup if you have the entire backup folder. I don't know if it works from an iPod backup.

Backup your phone first. Then restore from the iPod backup. If it works all you pictures should appear in your camera roll. You can them copy them over to your computer. Then restore back to your iPhones backup and sync the pictures back onto it...
