Problem syncing with latest iTunes

Everytime I sync my iPhone 4 with the latest release of iTunes, the sync vever completes and iTunes closes.

Sorry, I can't help you out, but I can empathize with you! I plugged my wife's iPhone into her PC the other day and performed a normal, scheduled "back-up." However, I looked into her Apps tab in iTunes and all her apps were "greyed out." I wanted to try "synching" but was afraid I'd screw up her phone hopelessly. In other words, I despise the f****** iTunes program with a passion, and I hope you have better luck than me.
