I had the same problem Merv. I could never figure out an easy way to get pics from my phone to transfer to my iPad or PC without going through Bl***y iTunes. I tried 6 or 7 apps recommended here before I stumbled accross an app called Photo Transfer and although it's $3.99 I find it works like a charm. No doubt other forum members have their own favorites, but for me this one is idiot proof

When you have your iPhone connected to your computer with the USB cable the phone will show up in "Computer" or "Windows Explorer" as a drive. There's not much that it will allow you to see, but it will allow you to get to the pictures and videos. All you have to do is drill down several levels through the folders until you get to them. Once there you can copy and paste to any folder that you wish.
