Only my speakerphone is working. Water damage?

My iPhone 3G is broken. I may have spilled a tiny bit of water on my iPhone today. The speaker and mic are not working but I can make calls using the speakerphone . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Headphones are working

If after few days it's not working then take it to the apple store.

If there is any chance of you having spilled water, I would put the phone in a bowl of rice for a day or two. Then if it's still not working, take it to either the apple store or your carrier. Good luck

Actually, after a few hours I put the sim card back in and powered it up it worked fine. It is over three years old. I will be upgrading to iPhone 4 once the 5 comes out, but it has been a great investment these last two and a half years.
