New to forum

Hey new to the forum. I have an iPhone 4 which I just updated to iOS 5.0.1 and I wanted to jailbreak it. I tried, and failed. I used sn0wbreeze and I don't know if that is right. I just want the features of a jail broken phone and when I serve how to do it I get 1000's of results all saying something different
I know this has been discussed a hundred times but any suggestions on how to and what to use would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you can use sn0wbreeze 2.8b11 to make a prejailbroken custom firmware of iOS 5.0.1. An easier route would be just to use redsn0w since you've already updated to 5.0.1. There is a tutorial in the sticky in the forum for jailbreak methods for 5.0.1, check it out and welcome to the forum!
